Terms

What you are agreeing to by using Parallels. Short, because there is not much to it: you write, the app writes back, and either of us can stop.

The agreement

Using Parallels means accepting these terms. They are between you and Julian Fleischer. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

What Parallels is not

Parallels is an app for a practice. It is not medical or psychological care, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and it is not a substitute for a professional. If you are struggling, please talk to someone qualified.

The entrainment tones are audio. If you have epilepsy, a seizure disorder, a pacemaker, or you are pregnant, check with a doctor before using them. Do not use the app while driving or operating anything.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us at hello@intoparallels.com if you think someone else has it.

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time, and that is the end of it — see Privacy for what that removes.

Subscriptions

Parallels is free to open one reality and write one slide into it. Parallels Pro opens as many as you like.

  • Pro is offered weekly or yearly, with a seven-day free trial.
  • The app notifies you two days before the trial converts. There are no quiet conversions.
  • Payment is taken by Apple through your Apple Account, and a subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
  • Cancel at least 24 hours before a period ends, in Settings on your device. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue them, though we are happy to help you ask.

What you write, and what the app writes back

Your scenes, your realities and everything you type stay yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store what you wrote, send it to the providers that write and narrate the script, and give it back to you on your other devices.

The scripts and audio the app generates are yours to keep and to use however you want. Because they come from a generative model, they are not guaranteed to be unique, and identical input may produce something similar for someone else.

We do not use what you write to train models.

Fair use

Generation costs real money on every request, so each account has a daily ceiling. It is set well above what anyone using the app normally would reach. Do not try to automate against it, resell access, or use the app to generate anything unlawful or aimed at harming someone.

Things breaking

The app depends on services we do not control. Script generation and narration can be slow, unavailable, or occasionally wrong. Parallels is provided as it is, without a promise that it will always work or always produce something you like.

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise, liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the problem.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We can suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service or to break the law, and will say why unless there is a legal reason not to.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction]. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protections of the law where you live.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the app will tell you before the change takes effect.
